Sir Ariel is part of the DepEd Educational Technology Unit as an EdTech Specialist, and he is the Project Lead for the Alternative Learning System EdTech Empowerment Program at DepEd. The Alternative Learning System (ALS) is a parallel learning system in the Philippines that provides opportunities for out-of-school youth and adult (OSYA) learners to develop basic and functional literacy skills, and to access equivalent pathways to complete basic education.

Sir Ariel is also part of DepEd TV as a Teacher-Broadcaster. Apart from this, he is also a Google Certified Educator and Microsoft Certified Educator, and Master Teacher I at Las Pinas City National Science High School, mentoring and coaching teachers in the ICT Department.
