Sir Carl is a graduate in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. He took up 18 Units of Professional Education from Mindoro State College of Agriculture and Technology (MinSCAT) and has then ventured into the field of education. He also holds a Master of Education in Educational Management degree and is currently finishing his Doctor of Education in Educational Management at Philippine Christian University.

As he carries with him his passion to teach, his dedication led him to be universally certified holding recognitions as a Wakelet Certified, Community Leader and Ambassador, Adobe Creative Educator Level 1 & 2, Google Certified Educator Level 1 & 2, Common Sense Ambassador, MIE Expert, Kahoot! Ambassador, Prezi Certified Educator Trainer and currently under MEA program, to name a few.

Mr. Sapungan is also widely accredited by different EdTech companies and even by those in the virtual learning sector which include being a EdPuzzle Coach, K! Academy Verified Educator, Flipgrid Certified Educator, Mote Certified Educator, Buncee Trailblazer, Advance Nearpod Certified Educator, Kami Certified Educator Level 1 & 2, Seesaw Pioneer 2022, WeVideo Silver Certified Educator, Screencast-O-Matic Certified Educator, and more.

Currently, he is serving as an Educational Technology Specialist under the Digital Instructional Materials Development Team of the DepEd – ICTS Educational Technology Unit and the Teacher-In-Charge at Naswak Hatubuan Bangon High School. His knowledge in EdTech is brought about by his strong regard in educational technology integration, gamification and game-based learning techniques. Known as an innovator, he integrates technology in the classroom by advocating for TEACHnology - the appropriate use of technology in the teaching-and-learning process.

As he believes in transforming technology to TEACHnology, he aims to bring more advanced teaching techniques and enhance student experience, one classroom at a time.
