Joseph Gabriel “Gab” Educado is currently a Public Elementary School Teacher III of the Department of Education (DepEd) - Division of Silay City, a Division Teacher-Broadcaster for both Radio- and TV-Based Instructions, and a part-time college instructor at Silay Institute teaching Professional Education courses to pre-service teachers. He has served for almost 4 years as a former Teacher to the Indigenous People (TIP) to the Sibato Bukidnons of Sitio Sibato - a small IP community in the hinterlands of Brgy. Guimbala-on, Silay City in Negros Occidental.

As a passionate advocate for inclusive education and professional development of teachers, he co-foundedin 2016 YOUTeacH Philippines - Negros Island with other 4 young Negrosanon teachers right after participating in the 1st National Young Teachers Boot Camp held at the University of the Philippines - Los Baños in 2016 sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines. The organization is now active in creating programs and activities that enable young teachers to be equipped with essential tools and skills in bringing quality instruction into their classrooms such as Kape’t Guro (Coffee-Teacher Sessions), Eat & Greet - Decelebrifying Key Influencers in the Educational Landscape, YOUTeacHForX Workshop Series, and Project MaaLAB among others.

Fast forward to this day, amidst the ongoing pandemic, subsequent migration of teaching and learning content into the virtual space, and the challenges of the times, he took up as a personal mission to promote the mindful utilization and effective integration of educational technology (EdTech) tools and apps in enhancing teachers’ pedagogy, optimizing the teaching-learning process, and in creating professional development opportunities for teachers.
